Surf the Snow Line
The Surf the Snow line of II boards provides easy carving thanks to their wide waist and short radius (8.5 to 9.5 metres). These boards allow you to carve the mountain and enjoy all the mountain has to offer, including powder, moguls, etc. without being exhausted or in pain at the end of the day. These boards are fun and offer an easy transition from soft-booting to carving, even if you have a larger boot size.
Equipment and Set-up
Pure Boarding has developed the equipment and set-up to make snowboard-carving easy to learn, exciting and safe.
This combination of equipment design and set-up permits high performance in all terrain and snow conditions (groomers, moguls, powder, steeps, hard-pack, etc.).
The key is a wide board which allows an open stance without toe-drag and a flexible connection between the board edge and the rider (flexible bale bindings and flexible back boot), giving stability over all terrain, quick edge changes so important on steeper slopes, high edge pressure to carve hard-packed snow.
The Pure Boarding equipment and set-up helps the rider get low, which is key to a safe but exciting ride, and simplifies the carver’s life - no more wondering which snowboard to take to the slopes – one board excels in all conditions.
Snowboard-Carving equipment is expensive so before you commit to the sport and buy the equipment, you may want to attend a Pure Boarding event where we can lend you some equipment and give you the instruction to help make your decision easier.
Born to Carve Line
The Born to Carve line of Black Diamond and Bastard boards are for the more aggressive rider. Their slightly longer edge length and radius (10 metres) makes them more stable at high speed and help hold an edge on hard manmade snow or ice and on steep pitches. These boards are a bit stiffer which, combined with their length, accommodate heavier and tall riders. And check out the Bastard top-sheet!
